TL;DR

Senior Category Insight Manager (FMCG): Developing category growth strategies for the UK market by translating shopper and retailer data into actionable insights with an accent on range optimization and retailer engagement. Focus on identifying category opportunities, leading SKU productivity analysis, and strengthening partnerships with major retail accounts.

Location: Must be based in London (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in office)

What you will do

  • Identify category opportunities across range, assortment, layout, and shelf strategy.
  • Translate internal, syndicated, EPOS, and retailer data into actionable growth strategies.
  • Lead SKU productivity analysis and portfolio optimization to drive commercial objectives.
  • Manage relationships with retailer buyers and category leads to position hirify.global as a trusted partner.
  • Collaborate with CMI, Sales, and Marketing teams to convert insights into tangible actions.
  • Deliver insight-led category rationales to support commercial negotiations and range reviews.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Category Management or Insights within FMCG (Beauty industry preferred).
  • Expertise in interpreting multiple data sources such as EPOS and syndicated data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong numerical/analytical thinking.
  • Experience working directly with major retailers (e.g., Boots, Superdrug).
  • Ability to link insights to financial metrics, P&L growth, and category KPIs.
  • Must be located in or able to work from the London office 2-3 days per week.
