What you will do

• Act as the program and technical lead for Body (BIW, structures), Closures (doors, mechanisms, glazing), and Chassis (suspension, subframes, by-wire systems).
• Coordinate engineering execution between internal teams and external supplier design teams.
• Oversee BOM integrity and approve critical build processes and quality initiatives throughout the supply chain.
• Develop program schedules and drive complex open issues to closure in partnership with procurement, quality, and manufacturing.
• Lead root-cause analysis for critical build and design issues to implement long-term engineering solutions.
• Influence system designs through top-level design reviews, DFMEAs, validation programs, and manufacturing mock-builds.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of deep automotive engineering experience focusing on Body, Closures, or Chassis design and project management.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6, PLM/BOM management, FMEA/FTA, and structured root-cause analysis (8D, Fishbone).
• Experience designing for crash, NVH, reliability, strength, and corrosion attributes.
• Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional projects via external design suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• End-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with hardware/firmware product development.
• Experience with vehicle CAN/Firmware.
