Fullstack Developer (E-commerce)

TL;DR

Fullstack Developer (Ruby on Rails/React): Developing and optimizing a proprietary e-commerce CMS and online store platforms with an accent on scalable APIs, frontend performance, and large data processing. Focus on redesigning e-commerce websites, implementing complex back-office services, and enhancing the purchase order process.

Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Barcelona, Spain)

An international e-commerce group based in Barcelona operating several leading online stores across Europe and North America.

What you will do

• Redesign, customize, and optimize e-commerce websites for various brands.
• Build and maintain React-based frontends for e-commerce platforms.
• Expand the internal CMS, focusing on purchase order processes and supplier integrations.
• Develop back-office services for product management, pricing, and SEO data.
• Design and maintain clean, scalable APIs and frontend integrations.
• Review pull requests and guide other developers through best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails (Versions 5+), including version upgrades.
• 3+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with React.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
• Proficiency in GIT version control and Docker containers.
• Must be based in Barcelona for hybrid office attendance.

Nice to have

• Mobile development experience with Hotwire native.
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch, Memcached, or Redis.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
