NFR Expert AI Risk Management (Fintech): Developing and maintaining AI risk frameworks to enable the safe and scalable adoption of AI across the organization with an accent on regulatory compliance and governance. Focus on challenging 1st Line of Defense strategies, monitoring the EU AI Act, and overseeing (Gen)AI risk portfolios.

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain (Gen)AI-related policies, governance, and mandatory instructions.
  • Advise and challenge the 1st Line of Defense on AI strategy, control standards, and risk processes.
  • Oversee (Gen)AI risk across the bank, ensuring material risks are registered, reported, and escalated.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, specifically the EU AI Act, to ensure institutional compliance.
  • Conduct thematic deep dives and reviews on operational risk.
  • Support senior management in AI-related decision-making and external advocacy.

Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in a quantitative field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management or global regulations on analytical solutions.
  • Analytical expertise with AI/ML applications within banking and risk domains.
  • Experience in first, second, and/or third line risk management.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas simply to non-technical colleagues.
  • Must be based in or be able to work from Amsterdam.
