What you will do

• Produce high-quality 3D character models including faces, clothing, and anatomy.
• Develop blend shapes, clean topology, and optimized meshes for real-time gameplay.
• Create high-quality textures and perform UV unwrapping for character assets.
• Design and implement PBR materials in line with project standards.
• Collaborate with level designers and technical artists to ensure character integration and pipeline improvements.
• Maintain visual quality targets across diverse game projects.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• 5+ years of experience in the video game industry as a character artist.
• Strong proficiency with Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Marvelous Designer.
• Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 and Unity.
• Solid understanding of human and animal anatomy, movement, and proportion.
• Strong knowledge of PBR workflows and real-time rendering constraints.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Substance Designer.
• Experience with shader construction.
• Skills in rigging and animation.
