What you will do

• Design and operate high-throughput, data-intensive ingestion and trace-query systems supporting LangSmith.
• Define and enforce API, SDK, and CLI standards across multiple languages (Python, TypeScript, Go, Java).
• Build and maintain integrations with various AI frameworks and tools, ensuring framework-agnostic compatibility.
• Debug performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and architect distributed-system solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations focused on incident response, automation, and prevention.

Requirements

• Location: Fully remote within Europe, excluding France
• 5+ years experience building and operating production systems or developer-facing APIs.
• Strong backend software engineering skills in Go, Python, TypeScript, and Java.
• Experience with OSS datastores such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), Kubernetes, and containerized infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Operational mindset: "you build it, you run it, you own it".
• Background in high-growth startups.
