What you will do

• Build backend services and workflow automation systems that power AI-driven insurance operations.
• Design and implement logic for insurance processes including quotes, policy issuance, renewals, and claims.
• Develop scalable APIs, data models, and backend architectures for complex operational workflows.
• Optimize asynchronous processing, queues, and workflow orchestration to reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure correctness and reliability of transactional data across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end production solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in China.
• Strong experience building backend systems in production environments.
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed systems architecture.
• Ability to design and implement complex workflow or state-driven systems.
• Experience with asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures.
• Strong focus on correctness, edge cases, and system reliability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Proficiency with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
• Experience building AI-powered systems or using orchestration engines.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
