What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable data infrastructure in GCP.
• Build and optimize data pipelines fed by blockchain indexers to support a blockchain explorer, API, and analytics.
• Design data models tailored to the privacy and cryptographic constraints of Aleo’s zero-knowledge network.
• Develop and optimize APIs that serve data directly to mobile privacy wallets and external products.
• Manage and optimize database technologies, specifically Postgres and BigQuery.
• Utilize Terraform and Helm for infrastructure-as-code deployment and management of data environments.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a Data Platform, Data Engineering, or Core Backend role managing production data systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Expert-level SQL and deep experience optimizing Postgres and BigQuery.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure automation, specifically Terraform and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of taking end-to-end ownership of technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time streaming architectures (Kafka, Debezium, Flink, Airflow, or dbt).
• Deep understanding of Web3 infrastructure, blockchain data structures, and ZK-rollups.
• Experience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, or GCP native services.
