What you will do

• Own and evolve the architecture for the external traffic stack, including API Gateways, DNS, CDNs, and Global Accelerators.
• Design and operationalize border security measures such as DDoS protection, WAF, bot mitigation, and rate limiting.
• Develop end-to-end processes and tooling for policy-driven API route registration, approval, and change management.
• Establish reliability and QoS goals for critical paths like payments and auth, tuning latency and failover across regions.
• Partner with InfoSec and platform teams to enforce compliance and optimize the developer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of backend development experience building large-scale, high-throughput services.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or similar languages with strong system-thinking skills.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native edge networking (API Gateway, DNS, CDN, GA, firewalls).
• Must be based in Singapore.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with SDN tools such as Envoy, NGINX, Kong, or Apisix.
• Experience with Cloudflare, AWS, or GCP Cloud Networking.
• Knowledge of hybrid/multi-cloud patterns and Kubernetes traffic management.
• Experience supporting financial or highly regulated workloads.
