What you will do
- Manage the planning, budgeting, and monitoring of programme initiatives in alignment with national development priorities.
- Collaborate with education, health, and child protection sections to integrate social policy interventions.
- Strengthen social protection systems and public financing strategies for children.
- Build capacity at national and local levels to ensure programme sustainability.
- Advocate for children's rights and coordinate partnerships with government, civil society, and UN partners.
- Oversee field office operations and ensure effective results-based programme management.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum of eight years of professional experience in programme management, social policy, or public finance.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Experience in managing a field office and working in developing countries.
- Background in engaging with private sector partnerships, particularly in extractive industries.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and familiarity with results-based management.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, or Russian).
- Experience in Public Finance for Children (PF4C).
- Familiarity with emergency programme policies and humanitarian contexts.
- Experience working within government environments.
