Technical Support Engineer Intern (Cloudflare)

Location: Must be based in Austin, Texas and able to work in-office 3x a week

What you will do

• Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze and troubleshoot customer technical issues.
• Manage and track support requests within the internal ticketing system.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational run books.
• Provide actionable product feedback based on real-world customer interactions.
• Support the team in testing new releases and reporting bugs.
• Participate in team meetings to share insights and improve service quality.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week for the 12-week program (September - December).
• Fundamental understanding of the OSI Model and internet technologies (DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP).
• Experience with Linux and command-line tools (curl, dig, traceroute, openssl, git).
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python, or JavaScript.
• Must be able to commute to the Austin office 3x a week.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, BGP routing, and GRE tunnels.
• Familiarity with hirify.global products and services.
• Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, or Portuguese for troubleshooting purposes.
