Support Engineer (SQL/Linux): Providing high-level technical support and bug diagnosis for a distributed SQL database with an accent on database internals, memory allocators, and Linux configurations. Location: United States. Working hours: 8:00 AM ET – 6:00 PM ET, Thursday through Sunday (4-day workweek). On-call rotation required.

What you will do

• Provide email and live technical support for enterprise customers, acting as the first line of defense for complex technical issues and critical outages.
• Identify and reproduce product bugs, perform QA, and submit formal reports to Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with software developers, sales engineers, and technical account managers to track customer issues.
• Streamline Support and Engineering processes, authoring internal run-books and public documentation.
• Ensure a positive and efficient support experience for all enterprise interactions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of advanced customer-facing technical support experience.
• Experience with MySQL or similar databases and SQL Query Optimization.
• Strong Linux sysadmin/QA skill set, including system I/O, network throughput, and log analysis.
• Experience with Kubernetes and proficiency in a scripting language (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
