Software Engineer (Java/React)

Location: Fully remote within Bulgaria, with the option to work from the Sofia office.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using TypeScript, React, Java, and SpringBoot.
• Collaborate within a self-organizing, cross-functional product team including PMs, UX designers, and other engineers.
• Establish and follow engineering best practices, including automated testing and code reviews.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and the future product roadmap for the Jira ecosystem.
• Manage your own daily assignments and priorities in a high-trust, non-micromanaged environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience delivering complex software products.
• Hands-on proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring frameworks (MVC/Boot/Data).
• Practical experience implementing cloud architectures on AWS or GCP.
• English proficiency level B2 or higher.
• Must be based in Bulgaria.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Jira and its ecosystem.
• Experience defining test cases and writing automation.
