What you will do
- Develop and maintain robust data solutions, including data transformation, modeling, and reporting across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Build scalable modern data lake/lakehouse architectures using technologies such as Apache Iceberg.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and optimize ETL/ELT flows to improve operational efficiency and maintainability.
- Leverage generative AI features like Amazon Q and Copilot to deliver intuitive self-service analytics experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Facilitate data discovery and enhance management processes using platforms like Open Metadata.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, specializing in scalable and flexible modern data architectures.
- Demonstrated expertise in building cloud-based data lake/lakehouse architectures (e.g., Apache Iceberg).
- Strong knowledge of AWS (S3, Redshift) or Azure data services.
- Proven experience with transformation tools such as dbt and pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Proficiency in engineering best practices, including testing and CI/CD implementation.
Nice to have
- Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or Amazon QuickSight.
- Experience implementing generative AI applications in data analytics.
- Basic knowledge or experience with Java.
