Senior Data Platform Engineer (iGaming)

Senior Data Platform Engineer (Python/.NET): Building and evolving a modern data platform based on Data Mesh and Platform-as-a-Product approaches with an accent on reusable services, tooling, and self-service capabilities. Focus on designing scalable backend services using DDD and Hexagonal Architecture, and managing cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.

Location: Hybrid in Liège, Belgium (up to 50% remote)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend and platform services that power the data platform.
• Develop reusable, scalable platform capabilities to enable data team autonomy.
• Translate domain needs into clean service designs using DDD and Hexagonal Architecture.
• Operate cloud-native services on AWS and Kubernetes across the full service lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analysts to drive platform adoption and usability.
• Act as a senior technical contributor, mentoring the team and sharing knowledge.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer or Data Engineer.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and advanced knowledge of .NET.
• Strong technical expertise in Kubernetes deployments and AWS data-related services.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Must be based in or able to work in Liège, Belgium.

Nice to have

• Experience with Data Mesh concepts and implementations.
• Knowledge of DDD and Hexagonal Architecture.
• Proficiency in French.
