What you will do
- Act as a bridge between Art, Engineering, and the game engine to solve cross-disciplinary problems.
- Support artists with asset integration, debugging, and optimization within Unreal Engine.
- Design and maintain tools, scripts, and workflows to improve artist productivity.
- Collaborate on animation, modeling, texturing, shaders, and FX disciplines.
- Identify visual or performance issues and implement high-quality technical solutions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of art pipelines and documentation.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada.
- At least 2 years of experience with Unreal Engine as a Technical Artist.
- Strong understanding of real-time content development and game art pipelines.
- Technical proficiency in art disciplines like animation, modeling, or FX.
- Experience developing production tools and workflows.
- Programming or scripting experience in C++, C#, or Python.
- Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya and version control practices.
Nice to have
- Understanding of shader development and material systems.
- Experience with particle systems and real-time visual effects.
- Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization.
- Experience with Perforce (P4V) and Unreal Chaos destruction systems.
