What you will do
- Lead and enforce safety, health, and environmental culture for the shift process technician team.
- Recruit, develop, and guide process technicians; provide structure, mentoring, and performance reviews.
- Manage shift schedules to ensure consistent manufacturing support across rotating shifts.
- Monitor manufacturing processes daily, identify trends/out-of-control situations, and drive timely solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and report process data to improve control and capability; conduct process and product quality audits.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, 6S, Lean Six Sigma, JIT, TPM) and support process/product trials and equipment/process upgrade projects.
Requirements
- 2+ years of leadership and management of engineering resources.
- Strong analytical technical problem-solving and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours, including holidays, to support operational needs.
- Results-oriented with careful documentation of work.
- Ability to motivate, communicate with, and inspire team members.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with extrusion.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred, not required).
