What you will do

• Investigate customer activity using transaction monitoring systems to identify red-flag patterns like structuring and layering.
• Conduct deep-dive research using OSINT and adverse media tools to assess reputational and FinCrime risks.
• Validate the legitimacy of wealth and fund origins by analyzing documentation against customer profiles.
• Draft high-quality unusual activity reports and provide guidance on high-risk onboarding decisions.
• Contribute to the calibration of monitoring rules and threshold settings to reduce false positives.
• Support front-line compliance teams with specialized expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (certificate must be provided).
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• 2+ years of FinCrime experience or 1+ years in AML/FIU complex investigations.
• Understanding of financial crime red flags, typologies, and investigative methodologies.
• Experience redacting and submitting suspicious activity reports.
• Must be able to work from the Mexico City office and willing to work shifts including nights and weekends.

Nice to have

• Degree in law or a STEM subject.
• Industry-recognised certification such as ICA or ACAMS.
• Fluency in additional languages.
