What you will do
- Ensure availability, performance, and stability of mainframe environments through proactive monitoring.
- Administer and optimize z/OS, z/VM, and Linux on Z systems in enterprise environments.
- Monitor network connectivity and latency, including support for VTAM and mainframe protocols.
- Support and enhance automation processes, including scripting and system workflows.
- Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for system and network issues.
- Manage patching cycles, system updates, and compliance activities.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in enterprise mainframe environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with z/OS, z/VM, and/or Linux on Z.
- Knowledge of mainframe network protocols and connectivity concepts.
- Experience with automation tools, scripting (REXX, JCL, Shell), and batch processing.
- Intermediate English proficiency required for documentation and global collaboration.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as IBM Z or ITIL Foundation.
- Experience in large-scale, regulated, or audit-driven environments.
- Knowledge of RACF, system security, and compliance frameworks.
