What you will do

• Set high standards for code quality, reliability, and delivery across frontend teams.
• Design, build, and deliver maintainable, high-performance web and app software applications.
• Integrate AI-enabled engineering practices to improve productivity and explore product opportunities.
• Own API design for internal and external consumers.
• Drive operational excellence with clear SLOs, observability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Coach and mentor engineers to grow their capabilities.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work with presence in Sydney, Australia
• 7+ years software engineering experience in product-led or startup environments.
• Experience adopting AI-driven engineering practices such as agentic code generation and AI-assisted refactoring.
• Proven experience designing and developing React applications and scaling frontend patterns.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and automated testing.
• Good understanding of modern CI/CD and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
