What you will do

• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams to ensure successful rail project delivery.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and manage engineering interfaces.
• Ensure project outputs comply with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior staff to support team development.
• Oversee technical delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven track record as an Engineering Manager, Assistant Engineering Manager, or Design Manager within the rail industry.
• Degree in engineering or a recognized equivalent engineering qualification.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland or an equivalent recognized professional body.
• Deep knowledge of local design standards and the Irish regulatory environment.
• Strong understanding of PSDP, Irish Construction Regulations, and "safe by design" techniques.
• Experience in Employer Designed and Design & Build scheme delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience working with GCCC and NEC forms of contract.
