What you will do

• Manage, coach, and grow a team of engineers through regular feedback, performance management, and career development.
• Design, develop, and maintain a resilient, high-throughput, low-latency Notification Platform delivering SMS, Email, and Push notifications worldwide.
• Establish and maintain high architecture standards using Event Driven Architecture to ensure scalability and traceability.
• Collaborate with global Product, Engineering, and Design teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
• Identify and integrate new communication channels, such as WhatsApp and inbox notifications.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across the stack and partner with the Issuing Platform team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or an engineering-related major.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering focused on large-scale, low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• 1+ years of experience in a people leadership role managing engineers directly.
• 3+ years of experience building distributed systems using middleware like Kafka and PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Deep technical knowledge of Java memory management, multi-threading, high concurrency, or NIO.

Nice to have

• Interest in AI technologies, design systems, and data analytics.
• Experience with distributed databases or storage systems like Redis or NoSQL.
• Hands-on experience with full implementation of Kafka.
• Proactive approach to reducing technical debt and automating repetitive tasks.
