What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of the core automation platform.
- Architect scalable backend workflows for insurance quotes, policy issuance, and claims.
- Implement workflow orchestration logic, state management, and automation rules.
- Mentor engineers and establish high standards for system design and code quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Ops, QA, DevOps) to deliver automation capabilities.
- Drive system stability through monitoring, debugging, and root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Strong experience building production-grade backend or distributed systems.
- Proven track record of leading technical delivery for complex platforms.
- Ability to design scalable system architectures across multiple domains.
- Must be based in China.
- Hands-on engineering mindset with a strong focus on system ownership.
Nice to have
- Experience with event-driven architectures or state machines.
- Knowledge of Node, Python, or Java.
- Experience with AI/ML-enabled automation systems.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability tools.
