What you will do

• Manage and mentor high-performing remote engineering teams with accountability for delivery and execution quality.
• Own the architecture and reliability of high-scale systems processing millions of events with minimal latency.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for core services including Kafka ingestion and event-driven workflow engines.
• Implement scalable engineering processes across planning, estimation, and production reliability.
• Partner with product and design teams to align roadmaps and execution plans.
• Foster a high-performance culture centered on technical excellence and shared accountability.

Requirements

• Must be based in Poland
• 3+ years of experience managing high-performing platform and backend teams building on distributed architecture.
• 7+ years of hands-on backend experience with large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and event streaming.
• Strong technical background with technologies like Kafka, ClickHouse, Postgres, Redis, and Flink.
• Proven track record of operational excellence and establishing disciplined planning processes.
• Ability to scale engineering organizations by defining effective development processes and best practices.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product and infrastructure teams.
