Engineering Manager (O&M)

What you will do

• Lead and manage engineering teams across operations and maintenance disciplines.
• Own delivery accountability for platform stability, security, and performance.
• Set technical direction for cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), DevSecOps, and reliability.
• Manage hiring, performance management, timecard reviews, PTO, and team development.
• Coordinate with program and government leadership on planning, priorities, and reporting.
• Manage risks and ensure adherence to security, compliance, and ATO sustainment requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience (relevant experience may substitute for education).
• Proven experience leading and managing technical engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure operations and maintenance at scale.
• Experience managing delivery in an Agile or SAFe environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust / suitability determination.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) environments.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and ATO processes.
• Relevant management or technical certifications.
