What you will do

• Integrate AI and Data Governance standards into the Data Platform ecosystem and development lifecycle.
• Translate EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, and GDPR into operational technical and procedural standards.
• Establish and moderate a group-wide AI & Data Governance Working Group to enable a federated model.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT Security, and Compliance to operationalize governance requirements.
• Design and position AI & Data Governance as a central, scalable discipline within the group.
• Lead the AI and Data governance team.

Requirements

• 7-12+ years of experience in AI governance, data governance, or risk management.
• Proven experience embedding governance into technical platforms or development lifecycles.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, including generative AI and model lifecycle management.
• Experience translating regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, GDPR) into operational standards.
• English: Fluent (C1) proficiency required.
• Location: Must be based in Portugal.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem and Databricks.
• Experience operating in federated or data mesh environments.
