Software Engineer III (Backend)

Location: Must be based in the continental US (100% remote)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end development of platform features and services from conception to completion.
• Make critical architectural decisions and technology choices to support long-term system growth.
• Collaborate with product, design, and internal engineering teams to align on requirements and tradeoffs.
• Drive initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve system reliability, performance, and durability.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests using TDD to maintain high software quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience with cloud infrastructure and automation (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 4 years of software development experience using Java, Python, or Go.
• 4 years of experience building APIs and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• 3 years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD technologies.
• 3 years of experience with Pulsar for event-driven architecture and designing for high availability.
• Ability to work 100% remotely within the continental US.
