Design System Manager (Fintech)

Design System Manager (Product Design): Owning the strategy, governance, and evolution of the hirify.global Design System to enable consistent, high-quality experiences at scale with an accent on bridging the gap between design and frontend implementation. Focus on treating the design system as a product, scaling contribution guidelines, and exploring generative and Agentic AI for automated documentation.

What you will do

• Define the vision, roadmap, and governance of the design system, treating it as a standalone product with clear success metrics.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of components, from identifying needs and defining patterns to documentation and adoption tracking.
• Bridge the gap between design and frontend engineering to ensure components are technically sound and visually polished.
• Establish contribution guidelines and quality standards to ensure the system scales sustainably across the product portfolio.
• Champion design tokens, WCAG accessibility standards, and responsive patterns across platforms.
• Explore and integrate generative and Agentic AI to automate documentation and improve component suggestions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid).
• 5+ years of experience in product design or design systems, with at least 2 years of hands-on system management.
• Expert-level Figma skills, including component architecture, variants, variables, and auto-layout.
• Strong understanding of UI design principles, component architecture, and accessibility (WCAG) standards.
• Frontend affinity with a solid understanding of HTML/CSS and frameworks like React.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (C1+).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience writing production frontend code.
• Industry experience in payments or B2B SaaS.
