What you will do
- Define the vision, roadmap, and governance of the design system, treating it as a standalone product with clear success metrics.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of components, from identifying needs and defining patterns to documentation and adoption tracking.
- Bridge the gap between design and frontend engineering to ensure components are technically sound and visually polished.
- Establish contribution guidelines and quality standards to ensure the system scales sustainably across the product portfolio.
- Champion design tokens, WCAG accessibility standards, and responsive patterns across platforms.
- Explore and integrate generative and Agentic AI to automate documentation and improve component suggestions.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work in Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid).
- 5+ years of experience in product design or design systems, with at least 2 years of hands-on system management.
- Expert-level Figma skills, including component architecture, variants, variables, and auto-layout.
- Strong understanding of UI design principles, component architecture, and accessibility (WCAG) standards.
- Frontend affinity with a solid understanding of HTML/CSS and frameworks like React.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (C1+).

- Hands-on experience writing production frontend code.
- Industry experience in payments or B2B SaaS.
