What you will do

• Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems, including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data security and integrity through access controls, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor Non-SAP database landscapes daily to ensure stable production environments.
• Optimize database performance and efficiency by evaluating and recommending new technologies.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including defragmentation, index maintenance, and replication.
• Execute database migrations across different technologies or platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or at least 2 years of practical experience as a DBA.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in database administration.
• Knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and basic proficiency in Linux.
• Experience with cloud database environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Must be based in Guadalupe, Mexico.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Ability to use scripting languages like Python or Perl for automation.
• DBA certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).
• Experience with AWS RDS or GCP.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
