Serviceability Design Engineer (Defense): Managing service deliverable readiness for military vehicle programs with an accent on electrical and mechanical component support. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Milford, MI and Warren, MI (Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site)

What you will do

• Lead the identification of service parts for the development of the Service Parts Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Support the development and validation of specialized service tools and maintenance procedures.
• Represent serviceability and re-manufacturability requirements during product engineering meetings and peer reviews.
• Provide technical support to program management, product engineering, and field support teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement cost reductions and math improvements.
• Ensure all service deliverables comply with ITAR and customer-specific defense requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience, including 1+ years in Serviceability Engineering, Field Service, or Product Support.
• Ability to read engineering schematics and familiarity with service information diagnostics.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage workload autonomously.

Nice to have

• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with HV/Hybrid operation theory and system diagnostics.
• Technical writing background or illustration/graphics development skills.
• Experience in military applications or dealership technician roles.
