What you will do

• Build payment infrastructure supporting multiple countries, currencies, and regulatory regimes.
• Design scalable multi-currency accounting and reconciliation systems.
• Integrate with international banking systems and payment rails like SEPA, BACS, and SWIFT.
• Manage both 0-1 market launches and 1-N scaling of existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, product, and operations teams.
• Own technical problems end-to-end from architecture to production reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience in high-scale production environments.
• Strong systems design skills with the ability to build reliable solutions from ambiguous requirements.
• Experience working in fast-moving environments with high levels of independent ownership.
• Proficiency with distributed systems, performance optimization, and production reliability.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or capital markets.
• Familiarity with financial concepts like multi-currency accounting and cross-border compliance.
• Experience integrating with third-party financial APIs or international banking partners.
