What you will do

• Manage the full team lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, and performance management for technical staff.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for inspections, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure operational consistency.
• Drive operational excellence using data and root cause analysis to improve vehicle uptime and throughput.
• Champion EH&S and 5S standards to maintain a safe, compliant, and organized workshop environment.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex maintenance and configuration challenges.
• Partner with Engineering and Facilities teams to align operational execution with company roadmaps and scaling initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on automotive technician experience.
• 4+ years of people leadership experience in technical or high-volume service environments.
• Proven experience implementing SOPs and standard work methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and CAN/LIN architecture.
• Strong understanding of EH&S compliance and safety programs.
• Ability to travel locally and nationally (50%+).

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles or safety-critical industries.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Understanding of EV architectures and high-voltage systems.
• Experience supporting new site launches or fleet expansion.
• Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair.
