What you will do

• Verify component, system integration, and application level features to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance.
• Review engineering technical design documents and provide strategies for building in testability.
• Develop and improve automated test coverage, contributing to existing tools and frameworks.
• Leverage open source solutions to build new tools for innovative testing methods.
• Collaborate on root cause analysis of production outages and implement quality improvements.
• Create and maintain test infrastructure, including the frameworks and packages required for automation.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in programming styles, data structures, and algorithms.
• At least 5 years of experience as an SDET or Backend Developer.
• Extensive software development experience in Python, C/C++, and/or other languages (Go, Scala, Java, C#, Node.js).
• 2-3+ years of experience building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud SaaS product.
• Strong debugging skills with the ability to spot design flaws and race conditions in complex architectures.
• Proficiency in Networking (protocols, distributed systems) and Web Services (JSON, REST, XML, AWS EC2 & S3).

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, AWS, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins.
• History of authoring and leading successful open source libraries and projects.
• Active contributions to the open source community via GitHub or Stack Overflow.
