TL;DR

Product Designer (Fintech): Refreshing core Robinhood products and shipping incremental improvements across the platform with an accent on high-quality visual craft and experimentation. Focus on rapidly generating and testing user experience concepts for high-visibility surfaces while collaborating with product and engineering teams to navigate complex business trade-offs.

Location: Must be based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 (Zone 1)

What you will do

  • Execute high-craft visual updates and refresh core product features.
  • Rapidly generate and test incremental changes using an experimentation-first approach like A/B testing.
  • Design for highly visible surfaces including the home tab and watch lists.
  • Present design concepts to executive leadership and articulate rationale behind business trade-offs.
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to deliver experiences in an ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY.
  • Proven experience designing for consumer mobile applications on high-visibility surfaces.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience with experimentation methodologies and rapid concept generation.
  • Ability to navigate shifting requirements and defend design decisions under business constraints.

  • Interest in exploring emerging technologies like AI tools.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-performing product teams.
