What you will do

• Lead and support underwriting teams to achieve profit, revenue, loss ratio, and expense targets consistent with Inland Marine strategies.
• Delegate underwriting authority, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training based on audit reviews.
• Underwrite new and renewal inland marine and property fire risks profitably within authority levels and guidelines.
• Manage day-to-day activities of underwriters and support staff, balance workloads, and maintain staffing levels.
• Develop relationships with internal resources (Actuarial, Product Development, Claims, IT) to coordinate customer services.
• Oversee unit performance through audits, review unusual risks, and recommend policy/pricing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of inland marine and property underwriting experience.
• Demonstrated aptitude to manage people and projects.
• Proven ability to make sound underwriting decisions.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.
• US Work Authorization required; no visa sponsorship.
