What you will do
- Lead technical decision-making and custom development of foundational data platform components and service layers.
- Develop and automate high-performance distributed data processing systems (batch and streaming).
- Advocate and implement high-quality software engineering practices for scalable data infrastructure.
- Define shared data engineering tool standards to improve productivity and quality across teams.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Singapore or Shanghai, China
- 5+ years of relevant data engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE/CIS or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Scala, Python, SQL and knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Flink, DBT, Spring Boot, Hadoop, BigQuery, Snowflake.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and data architectures.
- Strong knowledge of real-time and batch data processing systems and working with PB scale data.
