What you will do

• Perform maintenance and repair of computer systems, servers, software systems, and networks.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, firmware, and network connectivity problems.
• Configure and upgrade network connection devices and automation equipment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot LAN/WAN operations and coordinate with host-network and agency support staff.
• Provide onsite help desk support and manage telecommunications systems, including VTC and telephone systems.
• Perform system design for TRICARE Area Office-Europe systems and components.

Requirements

• Must be located in or able to support Sembach, Germany.
• DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level II or equivalent.
• Security+ and CCNA or equivalent network architecture certification.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or five years of related technical experience.
• High-level experience with Microsoft Windows Server and desktop environments.
• Direct experience with UNIX, OpenVMS, and extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and 802.1q/w standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with OTDR, cable testers, and network sniffers.
• Knowledge of EIA/TIA cable standards.
