Network Engineer Associate (Cisco)

What you will do

• Support LAN/WAN service availability through troubleshooting and problem resolution in production environments.
• Provide daily operational and sustainment support for DHA LAN/WLAN/WAN networks.
• Coordinate with Network Specialists on hardware and software upgrades and implement approved changes.
• Support network security barrier systems, including firewall, VPN, and IDS configuration.
• Use diagnostics to isolate protocol, media, latency, and bottleneck issues.
• Perform device reconfiguration or replacement as directed by senior engineers.

Requirements

• DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level II or equivalent.
• Security+ and CCNA (or equivalent network architecture certification).
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 3+ years of related experience, or vocational school with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and various 802 standards.
• Experience with OTDR, cable testers, network sniffers, and EIA/TIA cable standards.
• Ability to obtain ADP sensitivity determination.
