Finance Accountant (SaaS)

What you will do

• Manage daily cash balances, bank matching, and Xero reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Own the multi-entity intercompany allocation model for personnel costs, software, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and post journal entries for accrued liabilities, prepaid expenses, and revenue reclasses.
• Handle GST compliance, quarterly filings, and US sales tax accruals.
• Support annual audits, quarterly consolidation processes, and lender compliance reporting.
• Identify and implement AI-assisted workflows to automate and scale finance operations.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS or multi-entity tech environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and accrual-basis accounting.
• Proficiency with Xero or a comparable cloud accounting platform.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.
• Must be based outside of Canada.
• Ability to provide valid government photo ID and proof of address for onboarding.

Nice to have

• CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent accounting designation.
• Experience with payroll processing or commissions.
• Knowledge of a second language.
