What you will do
- Plan and oversee daily production operations to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to convert forecasts into achievable production schedules.
- Lead, coach, and develop the production team to promote ownership and safety.
- Monitor production KPIs such as yield, efficiency, and waste, acting decisively on deviations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and reduce waste.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Derby, UK.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience managing production teams in chemical or batch-process industries.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools.
- Demonstrated capability in people leadership and change management.
- Understanding of process control, quality assurance, and safety management systems.
Nice to have
- Project Management experience.
- Kaizen or Six Sigma certification.
- Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Working knowledge of ISO14001/ISO45001 standards.
