TL;DR
GIS Analyst (Geospatial): Providing expert technical support and consultancy for geospatial products with an accent on database administration, system maintenance, and customer-facing issue resolution. Location: Must be based in the UK. The role is primarily home-based, but travel to various UK sites is required based on business needs.

What you will do
- Provide expert technical support and consultancy for geospatial products to a diverse customer base.
- Manage and administer customer databases, including backups, monitoring, and data recovery.
- Create technical documentation and deliver training sessions both online and on-premises.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve complex customer enquiries and escalate issues as needed.
- Contribute to data analysis and scenario modelling for emergency services clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their objectives are met.
Requirements
- Degree in Geospatial or a related discipline with relevant work experience.
- Must be based in the UK and available for site visits as required.
- Proven experience in a technical support or Service Desk environment.
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience in analytical and statistical data modelling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for customer-facing interactions.
