What you will do

• Plan and guide the Product team on software requirements, feasibility studies, and product design specifications.
• Perform hands-on technical audits, code reviews, and troubleshooting in AOSP/HAL layers.
• Lead product feature development with ODM partners and drive technical implementation throughout the software lifecycle.
• Manage software release roadmaps and critical issues using Jira and Gitlab to ensure technical velocity.
• Assess software capabilities of potential new ODM partners and provide risk/benefit reports.
• Develop and communicate the software design vision and strategy for smartphone platforms to ODMs.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in the mobile phones and telecommunication industry.
• Deep technical proficiency in Android architecture (AOSP, HAL, Kernel) and hands-on debugging on mainstream chipsets.
• Experience collaborating with ODMs and familiarity with board bring-up processes.
• Native Mandarin and good English skills in writing and speaking.
• Proficiency with Jira for bug lifecycle management and project coordination.

Nice to have

• Experience in modem development and familiarity with 3GPP/ETSI protocol stacks.
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration in Android (e.g., on-device AI, NPU utilization).
• Experience with audio subsystem architecture (ALSA, Audio HAL).
• Proficiency with GNU/Linux operating systems.
• Experience in project, resource, and budget planning.
