Data Acquisition Analyst (Fintech)

Data Acquisition Analyst (Fintech): Supporting new data acquisition from external providers and maintaining database integrity for the global investment community with an accent on metadata gap analysis and data mapping. Focus on optimizing data acquisition processes, managing relations with information providers, and ensuring high data quality across indices, ETFs, and ESG data.

Location: Hybrid in Manila, Philippines (in-office attendance 2-3 times a week)

What you will do

• Coordinate with external data partners to support new data acquisition projects.
• Maintain and expand the hirify.global index catalogue while ensuring database integrity.
• Analyze and resolve metadata gaps, creating new content and mapping records across databases.
• Document processes and procedures and communicate changes to the wider team.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability of existing processes.
• Support the suite of Foundational Data covering Benchmark & Indices, ETF, ESG, and Alternative data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills (Index, Match, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Must be based in Manila, Philippines to support the hybrid work schedule.
• English: Excellent written and verbal communication required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of equity and fixed income indices, ETFs, and ESG data.
• Understanding of financial identifiers (ISIN, CUSIP, SEDOL, OpenFIGI, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with AI prompting and project management tools.
• Multilingual proficiency.
