TL;DR

Colleague Relations Senior Manager (HR/Industrial Relations): Shaping and delivering innovative colleague and industrial relations strategies to build trust and support complex change with an accent on union negotiation and employment law. Focus on guiding complex organizational change, navigating industrial relations risks, and implementing operational policies for a large-scale workforce.

Location: Hybrid (Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh). Must be based in the UK.

Salary: £78,098 - £91,880

What you will do

  • Shape colleague relations strategy and influence key people policies across the organization.
  • Lead trusted partnerships and negotiate with recognized unions and People Forums representing ~33,000 colleagues.
  • Provide expert industrial and employment relations advice to guide complex organizational change.
  • Analyze data and insights to drive informed decision-making and better colleague outcomes.
  • Manage risk and navigate complex industrial relations challenges with confidence.
  • Coach and develop internal capability to build expertise across the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of industrial relations law, employment law, and ACAS Codes of Practice.
  • Proven experience in delivering large and complex programs of work.
  • Experience in developing functional or operational policies and monitoring their implementation.
  • Ability to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  • Confidence in using data to shape recommendations for business-impacting situations.
  • Must be based in the UK to align with local employment law requirements.
