TL;DR
Head of Risk (Non-Retail) (Fintech): Designing and implementing a globally scalable risk management framework for non-retail products with an accent on credit risk, governance, and portfolio monitoring. Focus on building a portfolio management team, evolving risk appetite for corporate features, and optimizing portfolio returns through advanced risk models.
Location: Must be based in Poland, Portugal, Spain, UAE, or the UK. Hybrid options available in Barcelona, Dubai, Krakow, Lisbon, London, and Madrid.
Salary: PLN 33,000 - 38,900 gross monthly (for Poland); other locations discussed during interview.

What you will do
- Design a globally scalable risk framework, establishing governance structures and strengthening risk culture.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to create origination, monitoring, provisioning, and collections risk models.
- Build and lead a portfolio management team focusing on receivables and payables finance.
- Define and evolve the risk appetite for mid-market, corporate, and enterprise features.
- Make key underwriting decisions for significant exposures and represent the first-line team on risk committees.
- Maintain strategic relationships with the second and third lines of defence (2LoD/3LoD).
Requirements
- Expertise in managing credit risk for mid-market products.
- Proven experience building and scaling teams from scratch to support business growth.
- Solid understanding of credit policy governance and effective collaboration with 2LoD and 3LoD.
- Experience in risk and fraud identification, monitoring, and control implementation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts concisely.
- Must be based in or have work authorization for Poland, Portugal, Spain, UAE, or the UK.
