TL;DR

Business Development Manager (Nuclear): Driving commercial growth and pipeline development for portable nuclear microreactors with an accent on identifying new market opportunities and managing full-cycle sales. Focus on building commercial relationships from scratch in an emerging industry and securing binding agreements for critical infrastructure projects.

Location: Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo, CA headquarters

Compensation: $115,000 – $168,000 + Equity

hirify.global is a startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors designed to provide fail-safe power for critical assets.

What you will do

  • Independently source and qualify leads across commercial, utility, and defense sectors.
  • Lead client conversations from initial contact through discovery, proposal, and term sheet.
  • Support the negotiation of commercial documents toward binding agreements.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline from zero with a focus on quality.
  • Develop tailored proposals, grant letters, and external communications.
  • Learn technical fundamentals of siting, licensing, and project finance to engage credibly with customers.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or green card holder due to export control regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to source opportunities independently.
  • Comfortable running a full sales cycle with limited supervision.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling complex hardware, infrastructure, or capital equipment.
  • Exposure to government or institutional customers.
  • MBA or equivalent experience in finance or consulting.
  • Passion for nuclear energy and carbon-free futures.
