What you will do

• Design and implement robust backend architectures using Node.js and TypeScript for serverless, microservices, or containerized environments.
• Research the state of the art to inform the selection of libraries, frameworks, and AI tools for the technical stack.
• Build scalable services and data pipelines while ensuring data integrity and strict code organization.
• Monitor and optimize backend application performance, query latency, and pipeline efficiency.
• Collaborate with the team to build software while maintaining inclusive and respectful professional relationships.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Expertise in asynchronous programming, event loops, and strict type safety.
• Deep understanding of database design, complex SQL querying, and data modeling with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Understanding of the ML lifecycle (training vs. inference), feature engineering, and model integration into backend services.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, or Distributed Systems.

Nice to have

• Proven expertise in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience managing data transformations using DBT.
