What you will do

• Monitor local and wide area networks, voice systems, and server infrastructure for performance and availability.
• Respond to alerts, notify appropriate technology groups, and initiate major incident notifications for high-impact outages.
• Perform pre-approved code deployments and software upgrades following change management procedures.
• Analyze information needs and functional requirements while documenting infrastructure and security processes.
• Maintain shift logs and report trends in hardware and application performance to predict potential failures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to update and create Knowledge Base articles for standard procedures.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in computer/customer support and 2-3 years of NOC experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must be available to work a fixed schedule of 4 days/week, 10 hours/day (40 hours/week).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, Subnetting, Routing, DHCP, and DNS.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell or VB Script and Windows desktop/server operating systems.
• Ability to participate in periodic 24x7 on-call support and after-hours work.

Nice to have

• Experience with HP OMi, SolarWinds Orion, HP NNMi, HP Site Scope, or Splunk.
• Understanding of SNMP, NetFlow, and Terminal emulation applications.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
