What you will do

• Lead team operations including sprint ceremonies, capacity planning, and project prioritization.
• Coach and grow engineers through an epic lead model and equitable work allocation.
• Design and operate the Kubernetes platform on AWS EKS with a focus on reliability and security.
• Drive platform modernization including service discovery, Gateway API migration, and cost optimizations.
• Champion AI-assisted workflows for cluster maintenance and developer support.
• Partner across engineering teams to advocate for platform initiatives and ensure alignment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with project leadership or mentoring experience.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes/EKS operating production workloads at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go or equivalent systems programming languages.
• Fluency in AWS core primitives and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD).
• Solid understanding of SRE principles, observability, and security-by-default practices.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with controller/operator patterns.
• Experience with service mesh implementations.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI to accelerate platform development.
