What you will do

• Lead the development of services and workflows for returns experiences from concept to production.
• Design and evolve complex domain models for RMAs, eligibility, and routing.
• Build and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs powering a server-driven UI using HTMX and Alpine.js.
• Integrate with commerce systems (e.g., Shopify) and warehouse tools ensuring reliable data synchronization.
• Improve engineering practices by implementing typing, validation, and high code quality standards.
• Monitor production performance and error rates to maintain high system reliability.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Python in production environments.
• Strong SQL fundamentals, relational modeling, and experience with safe migrations.
• Experience building REST APIs and working with job queues.
• Comfort with modern Python tooling such as uv, mypy, Ruff, and Pydantic.
• Solid understanding of unit/integration testing and continuous delivery.
• Must be based in Germany (DE remote) or able to work from the Munich office.

Nice to have

• Experience with server-driven UIs (Django templates, HTMX, Alpine.js).
• Knowledge of Tailwind CSS and responsive web design.
• Exposure to the Shopify ecosystem, including Admin API and webhooks.
• Familiarity with e-commerce/returns domains and SLO practices.
